This unusual arthropod was photographed 21st May 2011 at Breamlea Victoria Australia. I am a photographer not a taxonomist. The most striking feature is the very long proboscis/leg joined at the front of a dorsal appendage on the head - an eye can be seen just below. The appendage extends rearwards and has the appearance of a small handle. There are 2 legs on the near side and 3 or 4 on the far side - it's not clear whether the rear most leg, partly in shadow, is connected on the far side along with the 3 legs, clearly visible.
